A good overnight or two night trip. Lock through Lock and Dam 4 in Alma and Lock and Dam 5 just upstream of Bass Camp Resort. Plenty of campsites along the river on public land. Taking out at Bass Camp landing requires an additional $5 fee per canoe or kayak. There’s a small camp canteen with snacks.
